Molly Gonzalez, NY commissioned notorious artist and illustrator Raul Rubio to create this one of a kind masterpiece for A Faithful Soldier.
She is creating a community of like minded individuals and artists who are on a ‘Journey To Serve’, such as Raul Rubio, a local creative artist whom she commissioned to design unique, one-of-a-kind men’s dog tags and T shirt line, with unique packaging and graphics.
Raul is also doing original hip-hop beat and graffiti inspired graphics. The intention of this additional line will be targeted to the younger generation of soldiers in Iraq (or any generation!) to remind them they are loved, and give them much needed hope and inspiration. A true act of love, the community is joining Molly with ‘A Faithful Soldier’ expressing their support with their graphics, and gifted amazing prizes donated from local businesses in New York in an ongoing essay contest “My Spouse is My Hero”. The painting was captured while Raul Rubio painted his piece and with harrowing images of soldiers in Iraq. President Barack Obama’s ‘Yes We Can’ electrifying speech in the background completes the journey into the spirit of what this message is really about. Thank you for watching.

How have you served? That is the question…and we all know that the men and women in our Armed Forces serve us so selflessly. Some of us are not on the front lines, yet we can also serve. Let’s think about how we can serve the families of those brave men and women who serve our country. Often times these men and women are forced to sell their home because they have to move and in a down market that means a great loss for them and their families or they come back disabled and even though we live in a great country with programs in place…it’s not really enough. If you have any powerful uplifting stories about someone who has made a difference serving those who so courageously serve us please share it with us!! Thank you!!

A Faithful Soldier honors everyone in the
US military all around the world.

We sell personalized Dog tags, T-Shirts and postcards of which 15% of all proceeds goes to a notable charity- Soldier’s Angels (http://soldiersangels.org) which helps injured soldiers or families of those that lost their lives in the military. How Winners are picked:
A Faithful Soldier committee narrows down two nominated stories per branch by sending stories to http://AFaithfulSoldier.com
Winners will Based on the Following Criteria:
Contest is predominantly for spouses but we will weigh in different partnership situations, and if spouse is serving out of country, etc.
1. The story will be maximum length 700 words or less.
2. Deadlines: June 10, 2009
3. Trip and prizes redeemable within 6 months.
4. Story criteria will be based on inspiring love, hope and faith in times of hardship and despair between you and your spouse.
5. Must be over 18 to qualify
